Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the VoiceAppear application, website and related services provided by Veni Vidi Validus GmbH. By downloading, installing, or using VoiceAppear, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

VoiceAppear is a Windows speech-to-text desktop application. You hold a key, speak, and the transcribed text appears wherever your cursor is, in any application. VoiceAppear supports 90+ languages, including mid-sentence language switching, and is designed for high accuracy and the removal of filler words.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to enter into a binding contract to use VoiceAppear. By using the service you represent that you meet these requirements.

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use at support@voiceappear.de.

VoiceAppear is offered under three plans, with prices stated in euros (EUR):

• Free: a no-cost plan with core functionality.
• Silver: €8.99 per month, or €5.83 per month billed yearly.
• Gold: €59.99 per month, or €24.92 per month billed yearly.

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle you select (monthly or yearly) and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices may change with advance notice; changes do not affect the current paid period.

We offer a 14-day free trial of our paid features, with no credit card required to start. You can cancel at any time during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription may begin under the plan you selected.

You can cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Except where required by applicable law, payments are non-refundable for periods already started. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers remain unaffected.

When using VoiceAppear, you agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent any security or licensing measures.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties without authorization.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.

VoiceAppear and all related software, content, and trademarks are owned by Veni Vidi Validus GmbH or its licensors. Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the application for your own use. You retain all rights to the text you create using the service.

VoiceAppear may rely on third-party services, such as transcription, payment, and hosting providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services beyond our control.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that transcription will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that accuracy claims will be met in every situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veni Vidi Validus GmbH shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veni Vidi Validus GmbH from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that may cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
